Apple’s Latest Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Build, 10A335, Features Screen Recording

Apple has just released the latest build of Mac OS X Snow Leopard Beta, build 10A335, and it comes with an interesting feature. If you were already using previous versions of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard you might have noticed in Quick Time X Player a new option. If you go to the File Menu there is ‘Screen recording’.

The new feature that allows users to record the screen was already available through the Snapz Pro X software, developed by Ambrosia Software.

In older builds, the feature didn’t work, it only created empty .mov files, but in build 10A335 the feature does record the screen and save it in a .mov file that can be further watches in Quick Time x Player.

The Quick Time X Player will also bring optimized video and audio playback, so users can enjoy quality media at it’s highest level, Apple reports.
